WHICH ENSEMBLE SHOULD I CHOOSE FOR MY EVENT? WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN YOUR ENSEMBLES?
Any of them! The ensemble choice is heavily influenced by the atmosphere you would like to create, the space availability and affordability.
The String Quartet is a popular choice at weddings and functions which produces a richer and fuller tonality with 2 violinists, a violist and a cellist. The String Trio is also popular and is similar to a String Quartet with its warm sound quality formed with 2 violinists and a cellist. The repertoire selection is at its greatest with both of these ensemble options.
The String Duo ensembles is a great lower-budget alternative and would be appropriate for a more intimate setting such as luncheons, high-teas and fund-raising events.
The Cello & Violin Duo complements each other beautifully with a simpler sound. The violinist often plays the melody whilst the cellist accompanies the violinist with the bass line.
The Cello & Piano Duo is becoming a popular choice for private and corporate functions featuring the pianist harmonising the beautiful rich solo melody played by the cellist. Our repertoire for the Cello & Piano Duo is extensive, including Classical music, Contemporary music, Religious music, even Broadway music! Unique Strings supplies their own keyboard, however, we are more than happy to play on the piano at the venue (providing they are in working order)!
The Cello & Guitar Duo is our newest ensemble featuring a classical guitarist who can play any style you can possibly ask for! Spanish, Classical, Contemporary – he’s got it all! Both instruments share the melody line interchangeably with the guitarist also providing the subtle accompaniment in the background.
The Solo instrumentalists is Unique Strings’ budget option without compromising on professional tonality and musicality. Our Cello Solo, Violin Solo and Cello Solo with backing track are the most popular option for private performances, and corporate & public luncheons. It creates the most perfect ambiance and volume for these special occasions.
We also have our groups of trained vocalists who will sing live with our string musicians or with backing-track to add that special touch to your special day!
IF IT RAINS OR IF THE BRIDE/EVENT IS RUNNING BEHIND SCHEDULE, WILL YOU LEAVE EARLY?
Definitely not! The bride is allowed to be late, so don’t stress! We will simply send you an invoice of $25 per player per 15 minutes after the event to cover the musician’s additional time. We would appreciate prompt payment.
If you are planning an outdoor wedding or function, it is important to consider an indoor alternative String Trio String Quartet Hire. Our instruments are sensitive to sunlight and humidity. We do ask for you to please shelter the musicians in the shade, away from direct sunlight and any amount of water as it can cause the instrument to go out of tune, damage our instruments (it may crack) and prevent our eyes from reading the music effectively. Conversely, cold weather outdoors may hinder our fingers from playing.
